Early Life
Patrick Mahomes was born in Tyler, Texas on September 17, 1995. His father was a Major League Baseball pitcher Pat Mahomes, and his mother was Randi Martin.
He attended Whitehouse High School, playing football, baseball, and basketball. In an interview, he said that training in pitching and playing basketball improved his quarterback skills. As a senior in high school, he has 4619 passing yards, 50 passing touchdowns, 948 rushing yards, and 15 rushing touchdowns.
Patrick Mahomes was rated the 12th best dual-threat quarterback in his class as a Three Star Recruit and he received offers from Texas Tech, Rice, and Huston. He also got selected by the Detroit Tigers Baseball Team during the 2014 MLB Draft but decided to focus completely on football.
